Compliance Manager

Location: Home based/National role (North remit but national coverage required)

Permanent full time role

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. As a national role, there will be a requirement to be flexible with hours and times of work to meet business needs.

Salary: £30,000, Per Annum, plus company car and pension scheme.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Compliance Manager to be involved in working with a dynamic and forward thinking clinical team. G4S has a robust Governance structure supported by a strong Operational and Clinical Management Team, with a focus on quality and standards.

Job outline:

  • The Compliance Manager will be an integral member of the management teams for G4S Public Services and will play a key role in providing operational advice on quality, audit and compliance matters.
  • The purpose of the role will be to support management teams in facilitating the delivery of a quality-assured safe service to ensure they meet required statutory quality and governance requirements.
  • They will support the managers in providing integrated quality and improvement service across patient safety, safeguarding, clinical efficiency and clinical effectiveness to ensure that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
  • This role will require analysis and interpretation of complex quantitative and qualitative information in order to devise plans and approaches to resolve issues.  In addition the post holder will support the development of quality audits and reports for regular and ad hoc meetings. 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

GENERAL

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of processes that assures G4S Public Service businesses have the relevant and appropriate systems and processes in place to provide evidence that services are safe and are meeting the statutory and regulatory requirements in relation to patient safety, patient experience and public voice and safeguarding.

QUALITY

  • Work with managers to embed quality and compliance across services and within sub-contracted serviced.
  • Advise the management team on quality improvement activities across their business services.

SAFEGUARDING

  • Identify and escalate any safeguarding concerns with the safeguarding leading for Public Services.
  • Support the G4S safeguarding lead on investigations and local safeguarding boards.

AUDIT

  • Deliver required approved annual audit schedule including production of timely accurate reports and assurance of recommendation closure.
  • Support the development of all audit tools across Public Services.
  • Cross-audit with other G4S business units to support internal audits and share best practice across G4S.
  • Co-ordinate and publish on the management system all audit and assessment reports.
  • Support Operational Managers/Clinical Leads in external inspection preparation where required.

COMPLIANCE

  • Support the maintenance of the Public Services Management System, providing support and guidance to contract managers and operational leads.
  • Work with business leads and provide direction for Public Services Management system in line with ISO9001 requirement (and other accreditations where applicable).
  • Support the development and maintenance of core policies within Quality and Audit.

 

 

Essential Skills

  • Proven Audit experience.
  • Data analysis experience.
  • Ability to undertake sensitive diplomatic discussions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrates a flexible approach to engagement with stakeholders.
  • Managing difficult and complex change.
  • Ability to deliver and work across multiple caseloads at any one time.
  • Demonstrate accountability and ownership of work
  • Fully mobile and clean valid driving license.
  • Multi-site vetting clearance.

Please note that many of the environments include robust vetting and clearance this will include NOM’s (National Offender Management Service), CTC (Counter Terrorism Clearance) and YJB (Youth Justice Board) clearance as well as  a minimum 5 - 10 year checkable employment and education history including criminal record vetting.
