HMP Ryehill, Rugby
£32,480 per annum
Full Time, 40 hours per week
Job Outline:
To pro-actively manage the delivery of excellent healthcare services including; personnel management, administration, finance, health & safety and security. Ensuring professional, contractual and company requirements are delivered consistently and client expectations are exceeded.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a health and social care service plan to deliver the highest possible care standards to exceed the current residents heath performance indicators
- Ability to gather and analyse data to support business recommendations and decision making processes to drive service and practice performance
- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery and development of safe, effective and efficient health services.
- Manages budgets effectively ensuring 3rd party costs are controlled. Explores all opportunities to add value and grow the business
- Financial impacts are identified and forecasted
- Provides line management support to administrative teams
- Manages and motivates all staff, encouraging ideas for operational improvements
- Ensures all staff understand company policies and procedures , deliver contractual obligations, quality audits and compliance to areas of responsibilities
- Ensures all staff understand all policies and procedures to deliver all contractual obligations
- Coach and support staff to deliver continuous improvements on an individual basis and as a team
- Ability to communicate effectively and implement business changes in a positive manager
- Identifies resourcing needs and development opportunities to deliver the highest levels of care, values, and ethical standards
- Facilitates effective communication and team working between staff of all disciplines
- Effectively implements and manages all HR policies and procedures for staff with support from HRBP including recruitment, attendance, employee relations, and employee development reviews
- Management of Health and Safety reporting and investigations. Working with the health and safety team to assist in the completion audits. Identifying incidents and preventing re occurrence
- Implements a positive health, safety and infection control culture to maintain a safe environment for all stakeholders
- Coordinate, produce and circulate reports and information as required to keep staff and key stakeholders informed

Essential Skills:
- Experience of leading and working within a team
- Evidence of managerial experience
- Evidence of further development of own managerial practice
- Evidence of ability to manage budgets
- Able to demonstrate a high level of literacy and numeracy
- Able to analyse and interpret management information
- Able to provide examples of diversity in practice
- Experience of working with potentially aggressive people
- Managing challenging and complex situations
- Evidence of ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
- Evidence of delivering ‘Value for money’ service
Desirable Skills:
- Recent NHS experience
- Experience of managing commercial contracts
- Experience of working in a secure environment
- Experience of working in a Health care environment
- Degree level qualification or above
- Experience of leading a project on innovation or change
- Experience of leading on an area of training or development
- Driving licence
- NVQ/BTEC in Management
- IOSH or equivalent H&S qualification
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
- Knowledge of HR procedures
