Job Outline:

To be the primary contact for relationship and contract management with the police forces and NHS commissioners we work for; grow, maintain and develop contracts with these clients; provide an external focus to engage with wider stakeholder groups to provide the best service for clients and service users; ensure a good service is delivered in conjunction with clinical delivery teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate colleagues, ensuring efficient achievement of contractual requirements in order that customer expectations are continually met or exceeded
  • Maintain and grow contract relationships and scope within defined contract areas, fully participating and leading any retender, renegotiation or extension activity
  • Develop and maintain an excellent knowledge of contract terms and conditions, paying particular attention to key performance indicators and any related financial penalties to ensure budgeted profit is attained and compliance maintained
  • Continually seek to build and develop strong working relationships with clients (both current and prospective), local community groups and other key external stakeholders
  • Adopting best practice in all dealings with colleagues and external clients
  • Understand budget and contract KPI reporting and objectives, manage contract documents and variations in order that management and other key stakeholders are fully appraised at all times, ensuring informed decisions can be made
  • Chair and attend meetings with staff, management and clients, ensuring clear and effective information sharing in order that a consistent approach is maintained and best practice shared
  • Respond within an appropriate timescale to any problem or concern within own or related area of management, liaising where necessary with other G4S departments any/or external groups to ensure these are dealt with quickly and appropriately
  • Participate in evening and weekend on call Duty Shadower roster for Custody health
  • Ensure set targets are met within given timescales and that our Continuous Improvement objectives for each client are identified, captured and executed.
  • Ensure all operating practices and procedures, particularly in relation to health and safety, are adhered to in order to provide a safe and secure working environment for all within contract sites.
  • Manage all critical incidents or complaints in an appropriate and timely manner, working with relevant team members to resolve and record.

  • Joint responsibility for financial performance.

  • Support (where required) and carry out any reasonable request by the Senior Account Manager.

Desirable Skills:

  • Qualification degree level
  • Able to use CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system or similar
  • Working knowledge of HR procedures
  • Experience of working/contracting with Police Forces, NHS and other public/ private sector bodies.
  • Confident speaker
