The seven-year contract includes the escorting of all prisoners  in mainland Scotland and islands, between prisons,  police stations and courts as well as all external  visits, including hospital visits. The contract is likely to involve the transport of around 180,000 prisoners each year. G4S has a fleet of over 140 specialised vehicles and employ around 750 employees on the contract.

G4s is the world’s leading private security organisation with over 100 years’ experience, and currently operating in over 120 countries globally. The opportunities for development and growth within such a vast company are extraordinary.

Of course you will also be entitled to the range of benefits you would expect from a world leading employer including;

Whether you are driving one of our purpose-built secure vehicles, conducting searches, escorting prisoners, managing prisoners at Court, or completing paperwork, your focus will always be on safety and security whilst treating people with respect and consideration. You will be trained to ensure that all prisoners, regardless of any allegations or convictions, are dealt with consistently, fairly and in line with regulations.  In this fast paced environment, you will need to remain calm under pressure, adapt to changing situations and have a full UK driving licence along with the ability to occasionally work at weekends.
