Full Time - 40 hours per week

 

The Clinical Governance Manager will be an integral member of the Governance team for G4S PTS and will play a key role in providing operational advice on Governance within PTS.

The purpose of the role will be to provide assurance on both regulatory and contractual compliance. Adopting an assurance model to ensure patient, employee and public safety.

Providing management support and guidance for regulatory compliance, H & S, Safeguarding and Information Governance across PTS.

Our vacancy

We have an exciting and new opportunity to join an expanding company which is seeking a Clinical Governance Manager within Patient Transport Services to cover the London / Kent and Medway area.

The Role

As the Clinical Governance Manager, your duties will be to:

  • Be accountable to the Head of Governance  that clinical governance and quality management across Patient Transport  is maintained and systems are operated
  • Deputise to support Head of Governance when required
  • Input into our quality strategy by demonstrating through Outcomes that everyone feels the difference
  • Manage personal and teams performance inclusive of appraisal and professional competencies.
  • Lead the coordination of reporting audit, risk, compliance and quality of the Strategic Clinical Quality Committee and other appropriate quality related meetings.
  • Forge close positive working relationships, in order to support an effective matrix approach to achieve and sustain quality services.
  • Maintain a good knowledge of emerging policies from NHS, NHSE, NICE, CQC, and relevant government departments.
  • Develop and maintain effective and professional communication and working relationships with all levels of personnel within PTS and wider business.
  • Provide on-site visibility / presence within PTS contracts.

 

The Ideal Candidate

You

To be a successful Clinical Governance Manager you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Trained qualified Paramedic/Nurse
  • Proven audit experience at a senior level.
  • Proven risk management experience at a senior level.
  • Data analysis experience.
  • Ability to undertake sensitive negotiations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Successful initiation / facilitation of multi-disciplinary working.
  • Demonstrates a flexible leadership style.
  • Experience in project management and leadership to drive quality improvements
  • Clinical quality development and the use of performance indicators/metrics to monitor, analyse and report on the quality aspects of key contracts
  • Flexibility and ability to travel
  • Flexible working with occasional overnight stays

The place

The role will be home based with frequent visits to the Kent & Medway /London office and services across Patient Transport.
