Main Responsibilities

CENTRE DIRECTOR – Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre (IRC), RH6 0PQ

G4S Custodial & Detention Services operates Gatwick IRCs, Brook House and Tinsley House, as part of its business portfolio.

G4S Custodial & Detention Services is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for people being detained due to their immigration status. Our philosophy is to treat all those in our care in a culturally sensitive way with all possible dignity, humanity and without discrimination; we respect their privacy, beliefs and differences. Our Contract locations are situated near Gatwick Airport and can accommodate approximately 600 male/female detainees with an ever changing population.

We are now looking for a Director to join us based at Brook House IRC in Gatwick. To succeed in this role, you will be a dynamic and engaging individual, who shares our ethics and values and is eager to implement your strategy for the future. A proven leader, you will inspire your team and have the ability to quickly win hearts and minds.

In this role you will be responsible for managing the IRC, ensuring full contractual compliance and overseeing the overall planning of the facilities to maximise the available resources. The role requires working with a wide range of stakeholders in a high profile environment. It’s key that you are flexible and adaptable to deal with ever-changing scenarios within the IRC. You will be supported by an enthusiastic and committed team.
