Main Responsibilities
DART (Drug, Alcohol, Recovery Team) WORKER
HMP Rye Hill, Rugby
£22,000 - £23,000 per annum
Full Time, Permanent - 40 hours per week
HMP Rye Hill is situated in Willoughby, near Rugby, Warwickshire and is a category B prison for sentenced male adults who have been convicted of a current or previous sex offence(s).
We have an exciting opportunity at HMP Rye Hill as a DART Worker within the DART Team.
You will provide a full professional service to prisoners on drug use and treatment services in support of rehabilitation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide information, advice and support to sentenced drug users in drug use and treatment services to provide them with appropriate opportunities for rehabilitation in line with current best practice.
- Provide an assessment and referral service to sentenced drug users to link them directly with community-based treatment and rehabilitation or drug services within other prisons.
- Liaise with agencies within the criminal justice field and drug treatment and rehabilitation services to support the development of treatment plans for drug users.
- Prepare reports as required to support prisoner information for courts, parole and sentence planning boards.
- Maintain complete records of work including ACCT documentation as required and compile statistics for management information as required in order to meet relevant standards.
- Ensure the maintenance of security within the prison environment by compliance with security instructions.

You must be eligible to work in the UK and must have been resident in the UK for a minimum period of 5 years. You will also need to provide full details of your employment and education history for the last 10 years as part of the security screening process for this role.
