£30,000 - £32,000 per annum
Full Time - 40 hours per week

As the largest private provider of Immigration Services for the UK Border Agency (UKBA), G4S is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for people being detained due to their immigration status. Our Contract locations are situated near Gatwick Airport and can accommodate just under 600 male/female detainees with an ever changing population.
As part of our continuing development, we’re now looking for confident and approachable team players who are committed to providing a high quality service for the people in our care.
The successful candidate will develop and deliver a varied curriculum enabling detainees to participate in creative and engaging activities in line with contractual requirements including the delivery of the English Language.
- Plan, develop and deliver a range of educational activities, using a variety of teaching methods and techniques, so that the education offered is varied and interesting and meets standards specified within the contract
- Provide advice and control stock to ensure availability of relevant learning materials in line with budgetary parameters
- Promote the availability of relevant activities to all detainees to ensure sessions are fully utilised.
- Evaluate and review sessions to ensure consistency and quality of learning offered and delivered and measurable.
- Coach and manage paid detainee workers ensuring compliance and assistance at all times within the educational environment.
- Manage the education environment in line with security instructions ensuring security of equipment and contractual adherence.
- Assist with the co-ordination of the overall education and activities programme to optimise the services offered.

Essential Skills
- Recognised Teaching qualification
- Experience of delivering English
- Good Communication skills
- Ability to act sensitively recognising the individual needs and feelings of others.
- Good organisational and IT skills.
