Main Responsibilities

HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER – Maternity Cover  
 
G4S Custodial & Detention Services – Midlands 
 

Part Time (Interim) – 24 hours per week, over 3 days
 
Home Based with weekly travel to Rugby and Wolverhampton area

Circa £29,000 per annum plus car allowance

As a Business Unit within G4S, Custodial & Detention Services (CDS) is the leading private provider of custodial services in the UK and manages five prisons, two immigration removal centres, one secure training centre and a number of community contracts in England and Wales. We provide progressive environments dedicated to reducing re-offending and enabling individuals to fulfil their potential back in their local community, and, from the IRCs achieving successful returns to their home countries.
 
Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner for Custodial and Detention Services, you will work strategically and drive performance across two contracts bringing consistency and best practice to ensure HR supports the delivery of business objectives and is consistent with the regions HR strategy and group standards.  You will attend senior and local business meetings to provide people insight, advice and address any people risks. 

 

The Ideal Candidate

As an experienced HR Business Partner, you will possess a consultative attitude, will work collaboratively and openly foster creative and effective solutions for your business area.  

Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, both written and oral are essential, along with a thorough working knowledge of employment law and current legislation.. 

It is essential that you have experience of working within a multifunctional and demanding environment with multiple geographical site coverage. You will be a dynamic and engaging individual with a good sense of humour, who has managed a team and who shares our ethics and values.
