SECURITY OFFICER

 

Salary: £12 per hour 

Working Hours: Permanent, Full time, 42 hours a week

Location: Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford, OX3 7LD

 

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Security Officer to join our friendly team to ensure site security services are to a high standard within our Health contract based at Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. This is a full time position working 42 hours per week, Monday and Sunday working various shifts between 6am and 6pm.

 

This role requires individuals to be able to undertake a rotating shift pattern, including days, nights and weekends.

 

Responsibilities

  • To patrol the interior and exterior of buildings/offices and perimeter.

  • To monitor the security cameras.

  • Lock the buildings at gates.

  • Manage security access and fobs.

  • Oversee fire detection and activation and alarm systems.

  • To detect and prevent forcible or surreptitious entry to sites/buildings by those without authority and deter and detect vandalism.

  • Assist to empty car park pay machines.

  • To act as the first point of contact for any emergency and co-ordinate emergency response where necessary.

  • Man the front desk during out of hours.

  • To carry out and record daily key checks.

  • To where necessary deal with suspect postal packages and suspicious objects.

 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Hold a current SIA & CCTV licence, however training will be provided for non trained applicants. 

  • Must be willing to undergo extended security clearance.

  • Good communication skills

  • IT literate

  • Customer focused approach

  • Able to work on own initiative
