Part Time Healthcare Professional (HCP) Nurse or Paramedic

Nottinghamshire

Salary £16,500 per annum

Hours: 21 hours a week - 2 nights on, 6 off

This post will involve flexible working across a 24-hour shift rota (days, evenings and night shifts) in a 7 day a week service. You will be required to have access to private transport. Teamwork and flexibility are central to our approach, along with commitment and a “can do” attitude to working in this manner is fundamental.

We are looking for clinicians from all walks of life. If you feel unpredictable shift work and long hours are taking their toll, then consider a move into this exciting profession.

Building a strong team requires a solid degree of diversity and this is the cornerstone of our recruitment Policy.  Life experience and character are important in addition to clinical and professional skills. We provide both medical and forensic services to the Police and you will be trained in both, expanding on your base skills significantly.  Days are varied and unpredictable, never the same twice.  Due to the highly controlled environment you will enjoy working at your own pace, methodically progressing through the day.  It is highly unlikely you will finish late, only doing so if there’s a genuine emergency or perhaps you’re taking forensic samples in a serious crime such as murder.

Working in custody requires you to be comfortable working on your own medically and be able to collaborate with many departments, all of whom will rely on your skills and experience to create the best outcome for detainees,  officers  and victims of crime.  The Custody Clinician is well respected by our Police colleagues and treated accordingly.

The team is made up of many different specialisms ranging from A&E, Mental Health and Respiratory Nurses. To have such a vast range of professionals enables us to exchange knowledge and to a certain degree experience.  The team is made up of 6-8 Full/Part Time  staff supported by a number of Bank Clinicians. This enables the team to have good access to management at all times.

On occasions you will be asked to travel to other premises to assist, or hospitals to take bloods.  The role continues to grow and it is an exciting time to use your training and experience to further your career.
