The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for an Executive Protection Agent - Intel Analyst. The Executive Protection Agent - Intel Analyst job has two components.  The Protection component of the position provides protection, logistics coordination and  transportation for The Chairmen, the Chief Executive Officers and Senior Executives for the client. This position will observe, report, and deter criminal activity and misconduct while transporting Executives and while on field assignments. The Analyst  component of the position includes data collection, intelligence monitoring and a reporting function to assist in identifying security-related trends, detecting potential threats and analyzing the potential impact to relevant business units.

Main Responsibilities

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Maintain close contact with Senior Executives, Executive Assistants and other support staff regarding itineraries, logistics, travel times, and location.
  • Chauffer the Chairmen, Chief Executive Officers and Senior Executives to and from their residence, meetings and airports on an as-needed basis
  • Assist in advances for locations on and off site of client property and provide protection and safety.
  • Monitor situational awareness systems including security feeds and local and national sources to support threat awareness and forecasting that may impact client Executives; monitor and analyze on-going regional security and political issues, trends and events and liaise with client
  • Be familiar with site operations, policies and procedures
  • Be familiar with technology-based programs related to monitoring and reporting
  • Maintain assigned fleet vehicles in a clean serviceable condition, transporting cars to dealership, responsibility for emergency repairs to vehicles
  •  Review Executive mail twice daily and have ability to understand and utilize Rapiscan x-ray system
  • In the event of an incident posing a credible threat to staff or the client, assist in accounting for the well-being of all personnel and provide support as needed
  • Support Operational functions as needed; support other departments as needed
  • Report on monthly statistics by collecting, analyzing and documenting account activities 
  • Additional duties as directed by client and G4S leadership team

The Ideal Candidate

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a current and valid Connecticut Guard Card
  • Must be certified in each of the following American Red Cross (or equivalent) courses:
    • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
    • Automated external defibrillation (AED)
    • First Aid
  • Must possess a current and valid Connecticut driver’s license
  • Must be able to obtain a higher medical certification, if required

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess one of the following:
    • A minimum of 3 years of work experience civilian or military law enforcement
    • A minimum of 1 year of work experience as a G4S Custom Protection Officer, Bank Protection Officer
    • A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a progressively responsible supervisory/management level role in the protective service industry

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be able to drag a person from the vehicle to a prone position in order to administer CPR/Heart Defibrillator
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible schedules to include working holidays, evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to drag a person from the vehicle to a prone position in order to administer CPR/Heart Defibrillator
  • In an emergency situation, must have physical ability to hastily move executive into vehicle, to enter chauffeur vehicle expediently to depart area
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include working holidays, evenings and weekends
  • Must be available on extremely short notice for evening and weekend drives outside of the normal shift
  • Must be willing and able to work overnights including staying overnight in hotels
  • Must have knowledge of Hartford, CT and Tri-State areas to include airports, roadways, hospitals etc.
  • Must have basic knowledge of  vehicle mechanics and operation
  • Must possess a good level of interpersonal communication skills to exchange information, answer questions, interact with senior executives and greet visitors
  • Must possess problem-solving skills to handle and prioritize executive’s requests vs. other duties
  • Must possess specialized skills or experience related to executive transportation
  • Must have the ability to mitigate operational risks when in the presence of Executives and understand situational awareness
  • Must be self-motivated and require little direct supervision
  • Must be able to develop strong rapport with local security representatives in the Hartford area
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must submit to a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:         Office/Control Center; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected.

Major activity:        Working on a PC and using telephone or radio while sitting or standing, walking

Physical efforts to carry out job duties:      Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching.
