Main Responsibilities

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Represent and employ the client’s code of conduct
  • Provide leadership and work daily with security personnel across the client's enterprise
  • Identify, develop, implement, and maintain security processes and strategies across all operating units to reduce security-related risks; Respond to incidents, limit exposure to liability or regulatory compliance, and reduce the client’s financial loss
  • Identify significant security risks; Design and implement strategies and programs to prevent and reduce loss of the client’s assets
  • Establish appropriate standards and risk controls associated with intellectual property, key employee security, product counterfeiting and related issues at the facility level
  • Coordinate and implement site security operations to ensure the safety of all employees and the protection of information assets
  • Research and deploy technical solutions to safeguard corporate assets and employees
  • Coordinate and manage preventive programs and services to protect against business disruptions in a cost-effective manner
  • Report to Global Security Regional Manager and coordinate with local Facility Security Managers to provide updates regarding security-related issues
  • Provide briefings to the Regional Security Manager on the status of security issues impacting operations and integrate into the business unit’s operations within the geographic region
  • Anticipate process partner needs and provide high priority to satisfaction and service
  • Develop collaborative relationships; Provide expertise, technical guidance, and training to ensure effective security services are carried out effectively with sensitivity to country and cultural variety
  • In collaboration with the Regional Security Manager, develop and maintain relationships with emergency responders which includes, but is not limited to, country law enforcement, fire specialists, and medical first care providers
  • In collaboration with the Regional Security Manager, develop action plans to mitigate security risks to the client’s assets, while still maintaining a high level of operational and technical processes
  • Partner with Global Security Crisis management, the Regional Security Manager, and Facility Security Managers to supplement a robust crisis management process and work with agencies to develop business contingency/continuity plans for emergency

 

The Ideal Candidate

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum of Associate’s degree with equivalent experience in a relevant area of study
  • Must possess Certified Protection Professional and/or Certified Fraud Examiner certifications
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain and maintain, valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess a minimum of seven (7) years of work experience with a major law enforcement, military, intelligence, public service, and/or private sector security organization
  • Work history must include each of the following:
    • Developing liaison relationships with Local Law Enforcement and partnering agencies
    • Leadership/management experience

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • To qualify for this position you must have:
    • Understanding and application of security practices and physical security systems.
    • Business acumen needed to meld legal and technical requirements.
    • Solid project management skills with demonstrated record to lead and execute security compliance and risk mitigation programs
    • Excellent verbal and written skills
    • Able to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse global cultures and business environments
    • Able to interact and influence senior management to further the Global Security strategy and programs
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment:    Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity:   Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing, and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or customers

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
