Churchill Hospital is a centre of excellence for cancer services and other specialties, including renal services and transplants, clinical and medical oncology, dermatology, haemophilia, chest medicine and palliative care.
In 2009 the hospital saw a major new development consisting of an integrated cancer and haematology Centre, a surgery and diagnostics centre and the Wytham Wing – housing the Wytham Ward (transplants) and private outpatients.
G4S FM delivers the following services and employs circa 200 staff: Helpdesk, Patient and Retail Catering, Cleaning, Portering, Planned and Reactive Maintenance, Lifecycle Replacement, Grounds Maintenance and Pest Control.
We have an opportunity for an experienced Hard FM Manager to join our team based at Churchill Hospital.
As the Hard FM Manager you will be the leader of the Hard Services team at the Churchill Hospital, providing leadership and expertise to the site based technicians and management of specialist sub contractors, ensuring legislative and HTM compliance is met through both Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive maintenance across the Estate.
Key Responsibilities will include:

Manage the development and implementation of corporate policies and local policies and procedures within Hard Services to ensure delivery of a compliant service in line with strategy, legislation and corporate policy through the site based workforce and supply chain.

To work with appropriate internal resource and specialist subcontractors to ensure the contract maintains compliant standards through appropriate documented policies processes and procedures.

To work in conjunction with the CAFM team to develop the Asset and lifecycle regimes through the use of smart technology.

Adhere to the contractual key performance indicators and Service level specifications.

Provide Health & Safety support across all contractual work streams.

Develop and maintain good working relationships with the SPV and Trust ensuring all reporting criteria is fully achieved.

Provide Senior Authorised Person coverage across a number of disciplines while providing mentoring and support for future Competent Person and Authorised persons across all HTM AP activities

Provide mentoring and a hands on approach to ensure continual development and succession planning of the in house technical team.

Management of all subcontractors, including performance reviews and identification of service delivery improvements with key partners.

Maintain knowledge of new technology, innovation and emerging new products, ensuring potential procurement of such items is commercially viable and appropriate to the business.

To ensure Project works are managed in accordance with the relevant legislation liaising with all relevant enforcing bodies.

Management of internal and external audits ensuring the contract is audit ready at all times.

To monitor and progress all construction related defects leading in ongoing discussions with the SPV and the original contractor.

To collate and prepare the mandatory reporting documents for various parties in alignment with contractual requirements and statutory obligation

Provide multi-site support to surrounding G4S Hospital facilities.

Represent G4S at various contractually driven forums delivering accurate information to 3rd parties.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential Criteria:

Mechanical and/or electrical qualification.
-
Prior experience of working in a healthcare facility.
-
Experience of team management.
-
Health & Safety Qualification.
-
Understanding of the following systems:
o HV & LV distribution systems.
o Medical Gas systems.
o Healthcare ventilation systems.
-
Experience of TREND BMS systems.
-
Experience of the PF /PPP model.
-
Competent in the use of computer packages.
