Main Responsibilities

HELP DESK AGENT

Salary: £21,673.60 per annum

Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week

Location: Chelmsford, CM1 2QE

 

At G4S Patient Transport Services (PTS), we transport patients to and from their medical appointments, safely, comfortably and on time. We work in partnership with NHS Trusts to offer a high quality service to our service users.

 

Our Helpdesk Agents/Call Handlers are the first point of contact for anyone wishing to book or to query a patient transport journey. As a Call Handler your duty is to predominantly take enquiries from patients, patient representatives, care homes or health care professionals. 

You do not need any experience in healthcare as full comprehensive training will be provided, however you do need to be dedicated to patient care and be able to work the shift patterns allocated.

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls

  • Logging jobs and allocating work

  • Dealing with queries and complaints quickly and efficiently

  • Taking down clear and concise information

  •  Enthusiastic and friendly, approachable customer focused personality with exceptional communication skills ensure maximum efficiency and coverage.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Criteria:

  • Ability to work to deadlines, at times under considerable pressure without compromising standards of performance and keeping calm under pressure.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A caring attitude and an outgoing, friendly manner with the ability to show empathy.

  • Flexibility

  • Previous experience as a customer call handler is desirable

 

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in a Confidential environment.

  • Geographical knowledge of the local areas to be worked within.
