Job Introduction
The Cash Director is responsible for managing the Cash Business Unit of G4S Zambia. He/she will ensure smooth and efficient operations of the CIT, CPC, ATMs, Cash Fleet Operations, and build and maintain/manage customer relationships. Branch management effectiveness will also be managed by the Cash Director.
The Cash Director will be responsible for the provison of contractual and adhoc cash solution services in a timely and efficient manner.
Main Responsibilities
1. Effective management of the financial performance

Revenue Growth :
-
Ensure that services are delivered as per contractual agreement in an operationally efficient and cost effective manner
-
Minimize and deploy effective controls on missed services
-
Actively manage and drive credit note reductions
-
Ensure that route efficiency and scheduling meets the requirements of financial parameters set monthly
-
Ensure Operations meets productivity target Revenue Growth :

PBITA improvement / budget achievement :

Review all cost levers within the area of influence and strategize with the appropriate stakeholders on controls and efficiencies to reach improved profitability
-
Support the commercial team on under utilized routes to drive higher density and efficiency in terms of sales and operations
-
Review all spend related to the operations such as overtime, fuel, maintenance etc and put in place robust plans in place to manage wastage and inefficiencies
2. Effective management of staff within the function and the regional teams
- Branch organizational structure fully staffed,

Staff turnover analysis, proper allocation of staff to positions and structure.

Set and agree objectives and performance standards with management team and ensure cascading through the organization as appropriate

Monitor performance and provide feedbackStaff Development :

Succession Planning in place, updated and practiced
-
Determine training needs for direct reports (in line with training and HR requirements)
-
Set and maintain acceptable standards of behaviour at work with all employees, as required by G4S’s code of conduct and disciplinary code.

Ensure that all disciplinary actions are conducted in compliance with Company policies and procedures.

Hold management team meetings and communicate to all regional operations director and their staff through those briefing

Ensure maximum participation in Employee survey and action planning

Foster healthy Industrial Relations with relevant unions with regular contact and consultations
3. Effective management of operations -Customer Focus :

Retention and customer satisfaction ratings improved

Proportion / % of contracts lost reduced

Undertake regular and consistent customer visit and assess performance

Monitor customer service levelsQuality of Service :

Quality Audit rating, correction plan in place and implemented

Streamlining of business processes to minimize waste and duplication and enhanced efficiencies
4. Health and Safety

Participate in the design/ development/ review/ implementation and monitoring of the branch and national safety plans for each year.

Participate in safety forums created by company for example safety meetings and safety talks
-
Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
-
Discuss all safety incidents on all levels
-
Follow-up on any activities assigned through safety meeting/committee/representative/management
-
Comply with safety policies and procedures at workplace
The Ideal Candidate
-
Degree in any Business or Management Course
-
A Masters Degree will be an added advantage
-
.Minimum 10 years’ experience in general management
-
Experience gained in either Assets in Transit, Fleet Management, banking or Cash Operations/ Management
-
Experience of multi-site management
-
Proficiency in Profit and Loss and budget reporting
