SCHOOL CARETAKER
Salary: £27,040 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Mon - Fri
Location: Abbeyfield School, SN15 3XB
An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Caretaker at Abbeyfield School in North Wiltshire. This full-time role (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday) features a rotating shift pattern of 6 am - 2 pm (Week 1) and 2 pm - 10 pm (Week 2). The position is integral to our PFI contract supporting local schools.
As our Caretaker, you'll be responsible for securing the school daily, conducting essential health and safety checks, maintaining a safe environment, and carrying out minor repairs and DIY tasks.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Overseeing site security and daily lock-up procedures.

Ensuring a safe environment by addressing all health and safety concerns promptly.

Managing and completing general maintenance tasks.

Conducting monthly health and safety checks.
-
Maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance

Experience & Skills

Strong problem-solving abilities

Proactive approach.

Strong verbal and written communication.

Solid understanding of maintenance procedures.

IT literate with the ability to use Microsoft or Google sheets and document apps and be able to complete online learning modules.
